What Is The Risk Of HIV Transmission From Infected Blood Getting Into A Wound?
What is the risk of HIV transmission from infected blood getting into a wound? I had a tb test this morning and the nurse performing the test wiped the blood of another person and was not wearing gloves and then she administered my test and wiped blood from my injection site and unsure if she had any blood on her fingers or hands from the previous person. Is there a risk that their blood could have come in contact with my blood because I had just had a needle injection?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
There is no chance that blood of 2nd person had come contact with your blood. secondly if another person has any infection the nurse will not treat him/her like this. Don't worry stay happy. I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Take care.
