What Is The Role Of Ecosprin During Pregnancy?
hi..i m resident any gynec obs..i wnt to know.. in spite of giving tablet methyl dopa,, nifedipine.labetolol..pts blood pressure is nearer to normal in 2nd gravida 30 wk pf pregnancy.. what is role of ecosprin to give this pt??? why it should be omitted after delivery??/

Ecospirin increases the blood flow to the fetus.. The blood flow will be hampered due to thickening ot the uterine vessels in hypertensives.. So adequate blood supply to the fetus is ensured with aspirin.. After delivery, ecospirin being an anticoagulant can cause increased bleeding in the postpartum period.. So it should be stopped 24 hrs prior to delivery.. Hope I hv answered your query.. Good day..
