Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 50 yr old female and have been diagnosed with arthritis in my back and I guess my joints as well. Ive been trying to get my dr to order a xray or mri for my knees but she just says its part of the arthritis. My mom had knee surgey and im thinking I might need it too. My knees r shaped differently from each other and my left one is now giving me excruciating pain. It burns and throbs. I didnt hurt it so what could it be?
It will be better if you get xray of knee done after check up with an orthopedic specialist. This is necessary since changes in knee may be treatable with supportive measures, and early arthritis can be controled and medications for stopping further deterioration can be started like, Glucosamine. so, fix for checking up
