What Is The Severe Pain In The Knee While Walking?
I have a small meniscus tear in the back of my knee. I injured my pereonal nerve on the outside of my same knee a month ago. I have OA in the same knee. I am 59. MRI shows know tendon tears. Excruciating pain when I weight bear on the medial side now going down my shin. I can bend the knee at rest but not while walking. Any thoughts on why so much pain when I try to walk?
Meniscusinjury can be managed by arthroscopic repair, and same day you can go home. As per your symptoms you need to do physiotherapy and knee exercises to improve range of motion . If pain persist then you may need to do MRI again to see for any functional defect.
small meniscus tear can be managed conservatively with physiotherapy with USG andTENS.
