What Is The Significance Of Taking Novacip 2 Hours After Meals For Blood In Stools?
i pass crimson red blood in my stool and was given novacip 500 as part of the treatment to be taken 2hrs after meal. what is the significance of this precaution to take the medication after two hours. what does the novacip 500 do in the treatment of my sickness?
Hi i have gone through your question and understand your concerns, It is an antibiotic (ciprofloxacin) usually given in dysentery ( bloody diarrhea) . Do not drink milk or take indigestion remedies (antacids) or medicines containing iron or zinc (such as multivitamin tablets), during the two hours before you take ciprofloxacin, or during the two hours after you have taken a dose. This is because these things interfere with the way ciprofloxacin is absorbed by your body, and stop it from working fully. Milk used to prepare meals will not affect the absorption of ciprofloxacin.
Hope i have answered your concerns. If you have any other query feel free to ask.
