Hello,

Normal heart axis ranges from -30 degrees to +90 degrees. You are diagnosed with left axis deviation by your treating doctor on the basis of your ECG report. Commonly left axis deviation is caused by conduction abnormalities that may lead to left bundle branch block (LBBB), left anterior fascicular block (LAFB).

Other causes of LAD, left axis deviation may be hyperkalemia, emphysema, ventricular tachycardia, left ventricular hypertrophy, pacemaker generated rhythm, etc. I can understand that your ECG was done when you were in a state of fear and anxiety. Just relax. Fear and anxiety can impact ECG readings but not the pathological changes of the underlying disease. You can get ECG done again when you are relaxed.

Get clinically examined by a cardiologist. Do not panic. You will be given a prescription with all required blood tests, Urinalysis, Blood sugar (F/PP), CBC, lipid function tests, etc., to be done. This is to detect any pathology that is causing the ECG report to show LAD. You will also be asked to do all the screening tests that will include stress tests, echo-cardigraphy, X-ray, etc., to rule out or detect any developing cardiac problem mentioned.

Your treatment will depend on the pathology diagnosed. You will be treated for the underlying cause diagnosed. You will be treated with medicines, physical therapy, diet control, exercises, lifestyle changes. Surgery is recommended only when there is no response to the treatment being given or when there is major complication diagnosed.

There is nothing to fear. In the meantime, you are advised to switch to boiled food. Avoid taking red meat, refined flour, carbohydrate, full fat dairy products, packaged & processed food. Take lean meat, well-cooked cereals, seeds, nuts, berries, veggies, fruits, lean meat cooked in olive oil strictly. Do regular walking. If obese lose weight. Maintain healthy weight.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
