What Is The Significance Of The Swollen And Numb Patch Around Navel After Childbirth?

I have a slightly swollen patch above and to the right of my navel I have it now for nearly a year I only am after a baby in jan 2013 the patch was also numb for a long time after giving birth to my daughter but the feeling was slowly returning but has not got any better and it seams to be more sensitive when I have my period Can you help

Hi,

I can understand your concern for swollen and numb patch around navel after childbirth.

You have not mentioned your age and other relevant information regarding your patch as any aggravating factors and other informations regarding it.

There can be multiple possibilities of the patch. As it is present since 1 year so it would be better to show it to a dermatologist for proper diagnosis.

In between do not apply any self medications such as steroid creams which can change the appearance of the patch.
