What Is The Small Bump Between My Vagina And Anus?

About two months ago I noticed a small bump near the bikini line between my vaginia and anus. It got bigger in a few days and has always been a dark almost puple color. It is not painful, no puss. It is smooth. I am nervous about this. I have never had any std but have not been checked in a year. I have only one partner. Could this be an ingrown hair? Blood blister?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a perianal abscess. Consult a general surgeon and evaluated.

An ultrasound scan is required to make a diagnosis. Once the diagnosis of an abscess is confirmed, it has to be drained to clear the infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
