Mild elevations in the liver enzymes can be related to numerous problems, and your doctor will need to check for them Usually, it is a minor issue that will resolve after
pregnancy, but your doctor will have to check for things such as
hepatitis,
gall bladder disease, and other things. There are many possible causes of
severe itching and rash in pregnancy. Most are mild and can be treated with
topical steroid creams or even steroids by mouth, or other things such as
Benadryl. However, some causes of itching can be serious, so your doctor will need to keep checking your liver enzymes to make sure they don't get too high. If they do, it can be dangerous and could require early delivery. Most liver problems and itching are not related to gastric symptoms. The gastric symptoms are usually associated with normal pregnancy. However, if they are severe, you should see your doctor about it. Some problems such as
cholestasis of pregnancy can be treated with medicines. In short, this is a very complicated issue which really needs a full workup from your doctor. Please make sure you see your doctor to get a full work up so you and your baby will get proper treatment.
