What Is The Solution For Green Colored Diarrhea, Raspy Cough, Fever After Being On Antibiotics For Cold And Fever?
My 3 year old and 1 year old had caught a cold in all the rush the week before Christmas. Last Saturday morning they both had fevers the 3 year old was 103 rectal and the 1 year old 100.7 so I took them in to see a doctor the doctor prescribed a amoxicyllin drug called Augmentin? (I don t know if that is the right spelling) The following day after 2 doses they both began green colored diarreah which seemed to be a common side effect to the drug after 4 days they are finally slowing down their bowels but now they have both started coughing a raspy cough that sounds like a bit of the croup to me but I m not a doctor the fevers finally broke yesterday and I don t know what to do from here I don t think the antibiotics are doing anything but causing upset stomachs and diareah on top of everything else they have going on do you have any suggestions? I have a cool mist humidifier running 24 hours a day and using pain killers and baby vicks....

Augmentin usually causes diarrhea, for many people. In that case you are expected to consult your doctor, so that he may change to some other drug. and give some thing for diarrhea.
They must be having cough, since the bigening. it increased now.
I advise you to consult your doctor for follow up.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms ofloxacin, citrizine phenyl propolamine cough syrup,dicyclomine drops, and paracetamol.
