What Is The Solution For Pus-filled And Recurring Bumps?

I have a big bump on the side of my neck that I have bursted 2 times, and both times white thick puss & along with blood has come out. Its back again and I don t know if it is something I should worry about. Its back with a hard circular firm feel, but I see a small Whitehead in it. What could this be?

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I would keep a possibility of furunculosis/bacteria infection of the hair follicle.

If I was your treating doctor I would have asked you to take an oral antibiotic (penicillin group of antibiotics e.g Amoxycillin in combination with clavulanic acid) for a week.

An OTC antibacterial e.g 2% mupirocin for application, twice daily for a week would also help.

An OTC painkiller e.g ibuprofen once or twice daily would help you with the pain.

regards
