What Is The Success Rate Of A Surgical Procedure To Treat Bulging Eyes?

I am 58 years old and have worn corrective lens since I was 7 years old. A few years ago, I developed a hyperthyroid condition. As a result, I developed dry eye and bulging eyes. I had to stop wearing contact lens as a result. My eyes receded for the most part, but I seem to have recently experienced a slight additional amount of bulging. My current thyroid panels are normal. At a recent doctors appointment, I was given the opportunity to possibility see an Ophthalmologist about a possible surgical procedure to reset my eyes to eliminate the bulging. What is the success rate of this surgery? Is it done on an out patient basis? What is the recovery time? My email address is: YYYY@YYYY

you have proptosis it is due to effect of hormones so thyroid hormone essay is to be done and consult endocrinologist. itcan be treated so that proptosis will decrease if there is exposure keratitis then it is to be treated withciprofloxacin .3% eye8 hourly. it is to be medically treated and success rate is good.
