What Is The Suggested Medicine For Severe Cough And Congestion In Chest?

My wife was suffering from common running nose and cough and slight fever but after a day her conditions became severe and now she is having severe cough with symptoms of congestion in the chest and pain in the chest and neck area.What should I do pls suggest
