hi my baby brother is five he is bleeding from his nose once a week it has been going on for like a year and today a piece of meat that looks like a raw sqishy piece of meat fell out of his nose and i need to know what it is my mother dose nothing about it!
Thank you for using health care magic. There are several reasons for a bleeding nose in a five year old. The most common one is picking nose and other end of spectrum being several blood disorders. It would be good if you could give more information on the same. Does he have frequent colds? Does he have breathing difficulty from birth? Are there any bleeding episodes from gums or wounds? Does he keep picking his nose always?
if there is a pink mass coming out of his nose then more likely that he has a cause which needs immediate medical attention, esp a Peadiatric otolaryngologist. If you can get back to me on these questions it is a lot easier to comment.
thanks Regards Dr Divya Upadhya
