Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...
My father has CLL and I think it's stage 2 or 3 as his spleen was enlarged, lost 10 pounds and is undergoing chemo. I live in Australia and he is in USA. Should I be concerned and go see him straight away? I just found ut the news
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. He has chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Life expectancy depends on stage. In stage 2 and 3 median survival rate is more then 7 year. However many other factors affect that. Chemotherapy is the treatment of choice. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. CLL has good prognosis in general. However it depends on many factors. If he has stage 3 CLL then you should go to see him as early as possible. Life expectancy in later stage is not good.
