What Is The Time Interval Between Cataract Surgery For Both The Eyes?

My father, aged 60 yrs, has been advised for cataract surgery starting first on the right eye followed by the left eye. He is diabetic and levels of which are conducive for the surgery as per the doctor. The nerves in the eye are good too as per doctor. This varies between the surgeons. My suggestion will be a minimum gap of 1 week between both the eyes.
