Back in 1996 I was diagnosed with Cushing s Disease, after going to two specialists who ruled this out. Some of the initial symptoms of this disease, were rapid weight gain, evening spiking blood pressure, fatigue, dizziness, and weakness. I had brain surgery and had four pituitary tumors removed. Over the past two months, eating a regular diet, I gained twenty five pounds. During the day, my blood pressure is normal as it was with the disease. In the evening, it ranges between 185/95 to 200/100, with severe headaches, fatigue, not sleeping, and depression. My internist of 15 years recently passed away suddenly. The new doctor who replaced him, got upset with me and told me not to worry about the evening blood pressure. I told him to run blood tests, checking my cortisol level, and other indicators of a possible recurrence of Cushing s. I also have heart problems, am calling my cardiologist tomorrow, to ask if he would see me before my next appointment, in Aug. Any help would be appreciated, as I fear I may have a stroke or heart attack.
