What Is The Treatment For Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome?

Hi Doctor, I have been diagnosied as PCOD. Iam 30 yrs old, got married since 10 months. My menstrual cycle was irregular since it started, however it has been delayed more since i got married. Doctor has prescribed Nacfil forte. Iam taking this medicine from 2 months, haven t got periods till now. But i have put on weight. Does this medicine has any side effects? Is it right medicine for PCOD?

According to reports you are suffering from polycystic ovarian disease(PCOD).

PCOD should be confirmed by clinical correlation and biochemical markers like hormonal assay for PCOD.
PCOD is a curable disease and mostly it is treated by medicines.
Nacfil forte tablet contains Acetylcysteine.It may not be helpful for PCOD.
Surgical intervention is required in very few cases.
You should consult gynecologist.
