What Is The Treatment For A Bump In The Butt Cheek?

Hi I woke up today with a bump in my inner buttcheek, it seems soft when feeling it but is uncomfortable if I feel it or pull on the skin to feel bump. Feels like it is on inner half of skin but difficult to tell for sure. Definitely can see bump in mirror where discomfort is but not really any color. Should I wait a few days? Or see doc?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that pain and lump on inner butt cheek seems most probably be due to formation of a Perianal abscess..

It occurs most commonly due to hairfollicle infection while other causes can be infected gland in the area or infection in the skin leading to pus formation under the skin..

I would suggest you to consult a Proctologist or Anorectal surgeon or you can even see a general surgeon and get evaluated.
He can advise you a course of antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller and topical application of antibiotic, steroid and numbing ointment..
Do warm compresses as it can ease in draining it off..
If it does not improve or start worsening then Incision and Drainage can help in faster resolution..
