What Is The Treatment For A Hard Lump On The Pelvis?
I have small hard lump under the skin just slightly above my Elvis. I noticed it about 5 months ago. Since then it has grown from 2-3 mm in diameter to about 8-10mm . It was first a smooth ball-like mass and now it feels like a double- side by side ball like mass. Not really giving me pain or discomfort at the site. What could this be?
AS this lump is under the skin, benign skin lesion is the most probable reason. It might be a sebaceous cyst or lipoma. Both lesions are not dangerous and do not turn into a cancer. However sebaceous cyst can get infected and give much pain and swelling. It is also possible that this lump is an enlarged lymph node. I suggest you to consult general surgeon with this problem. In case of any doubts, soft tissues ultrasound should be done. Lipoma or sebaceous cyst can be simply removed. Enlarged lymph node might need biopsy.
Hope this will help. Regards.
