What Is The Treatment For A Lump In The Armpit?

Last year I got a grape size lump in my right armpit. It was very sore to the touch. My doctor said just by looking it was an infected hair follicle and prescribed an antibiotic and it went away in a few days. But a few weeks later it reappeared and so I was prescribed another round of antibiotics and it disappeared but now a year later I have another one. It should be noted that my blood sugar level has been elevated even after trying to cut down on carbs. Everything else in the blood work was within standard levels.

Hi,Based on the facts of your query,I would suggest you to consult your ER Surgeon and Physician,who would control the Blood Sugars and Would plan on priority,Surgical drainage of the armpit lump, if need be under antibiotic cover.If need be insulin for controlling sugar and controlling infection in the armpit boil,mostly a Chronic Boil.
Your physician would plan antidiabetic drug treatment,and would control your weight.
