my father in law has meniere's disease. he's been in hearing aid for over 5 yrs now & lately he's experiencing pain in his ear with some ringing sensation & nausea even vomiting at some point.. is there any cure for it?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your husband have symptoms of some ringing sensation & nausea which seems to be due to Meniere's disease. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take antihistamine and anticholinergic drugs like meclizine and scopolamine. Apply warm compresses on ear. Avoid touching or pricking ear with any sharp object. You should take oral broad spectrum Antibiotics to treat the infection. Put anti-inflammatory ear drops. Avoid pricking ear with any sharp object. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Start treatment after proper prescription. You should go for otoscopic examination and audiometry test. You should get proper hearing aid or surgery done as per doctor's prescription.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
