Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I have an embarrassing problem. I am having irritation in the anal area. I have swelling itchiness, very little blood and pain. When I sit in a chair in the office for a while I have more irritation. The pain has been happening for about 4 months. I keep the area very dry at all times and I always use wipes to keep clean. I am also an obese female.
It seems to be the anal lesion, and most possible lesions would be hemorrhoid or anal fissures, the clinical examination can only differentiate this, not even these, but it may also rule out the other possibility like infection, abscess.
If this is constipation then such complaint is due to hemorrhoid or fissure, you can try stool softener till you consult the surgeon, and have more vegetable diet, drink more water.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
