What Is The Treatment For Angle Closure Glaucoma And Cataract?
Hi, My dad has been diagnosed with angle closure glaucoma and cataracts however he is only 44. I know that the type of glaucoma and eye problems that he has are rare but he also suffers with an excruciating intermissant pain in his right eye, that he usually gets in the early hours of the morning (waking him up) and in the day sometimes as well. Although, of more recent times, the pain has been happening more regularly in the day. The left eye also gets the same pain, but not as much as the right. I m writing this message because it has been going on for the last 15 years and he is still yet to be diagnosed properly. I wanted to see if anyone would have any further information or ideas on what this pain that he suffers with might be because nobody else seems to know.
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that your father is diagnosed with angle closure glaucoma and cataract. The treatment is of angle closure glaucoma is by use of laser iridotomy and by use of anti-glaucoma drugs or by trabeculectomy in advanced stages. Cataract needs to be treated by cataract surgery. Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.
Hope this is helpful to you. Do write back to me for further questions. Thank you With regards
