What Is The Treatment For Asthma And Allergy?

I have been haveing issues with really bad allergies over the past few weeks and also came down with a bad cold. I did see a doctor and am on allergy medacine. This morning I woke up and my chest was hurting. As soon as I got up everytime I breathe in the back of my chest hurts really bad. Its causing me to even be a little short of breathe because of the pain. Im not to sure if this could be anything serious, or what to do. I am 20 years old. I do have asthma but this is nothing like I have experienced before.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The chest pain may be related to an acute asthmatic attack or due to an inflammatory response from your infection.
This inflammatory response can affect the pleura (lining of the lung) or due to problems with the muscles in the chest from persistent coughing.

Because of the history of asthma, it is important to rule out and treat any acute attack first.
If this is not present then you can consider the use of anti inflammatory pain killers (if no history of aggravating your asthma).

Examples are ibuprofen, cataflam, aspirin, naproxen

I hope this helps
