What Is The Treatment For Bad Odor Vaginal Discharge?

I am a 17 year old female virgin. I have had a bad odor come from my vagina for about 1 1/2 months. This is very little discharge but if anything at all (if i wipe or something) I think it could be slightly yellow? I had a vaginal swab test but they didn't do the full pelvic exam because they said it was very unlikely to be anything to do with the pelvis or anything higher than the vagina because I am a virgin. BUT I didn't mention that my boyfriend has been fingering me recently (possibly a way for more bacteria than usual to be around in there?) So if the swabs come back fine, should I go back to get a pelvic exam or is it possibly just fluctuating hormones, diet, etc. causing the strange/bad smell? It is not a fishy smell. It's more a sickly sweet gross smell..
