What Is The Treatment For Bleeding During Pregnancy?

Hello, I have a regular 28 day cycle this month my period started 3 days early, it started with brown spotting for 2 days, then seemed to be normal, just lighter than usual and without cramping. I have also been vomiting occasionally. Is it possible that I may be pregnant even though I am currently bleeding?

Hello, and I hope I can help you today.

The most common symptom of pregnancy is a missed period. However, if you have been having unprotected sex and are at risk for pregnancy, I would wait until after the normal time your period should have come and test then. Some women bleed in early pregnancy, however that usually starts later, after a missed period.

However, the greatest likelihood is that your body may be under stress because you are getting sick with a GI illness and it made your period come early.

So you can decide based on your risks whether or not to do a pregnancy test. I hope this answered your question, and I hope you feel better.

Best wishes, Dr. Brown
