What Is The Treatment For Burning Sensation In The Skin?

Hello Dr. Samuel I used a garlic to treat my pimples last night, washed it off in 15min with just water. It wasnt red at all after washing. But when I woke up today, I had burns all over my face where I had used the garlic. Please suggest some remedies for the burns. I have used a little ice on them, and now have put lactocalamine lotion on it. I have an interview for a job to go to in the next 5 hours. Please help me. Regards Nikita

Hello
Thank you for posting on HCM.
You have developed contact irritant dermatitis due to use of garlic.
I would suggest you short course of oral prednisolone. Also I would advise local application of mometasone and fusidic acid cream twice a day over rash.
Oral antihistaminics should be taken to relieve itching and irritation.
Cold sponging additionally will be helpful.
Hope you get well soon.
Thanks
