What Is The Treatment For Celiac Disease?

Recently my 4 yr old granddaughter was diagnosed with celiac disease. I ve been reading about celiac disease and the more I read...I began to wonder if a diagnosis of cystic fibrosis (in 1960) could actually have been celiac disease. My husband had a sister who died at 4 yrs old from CF. I know Celiac is hereditary and the symptoms could be for many things. Celiac was not really known in the 60 s, was it?

Hi, celiac disease and cystic fibrosis are both different diseases. Both sign and symptoms are different. Also, in celiac disease if gluten containing foods like wheat are avoided then child can live a normal life. Take care.
