What Is The Treatment For Cheyne-Stokes Respiration Problem?
I experienced AMS at camp Muir on Rainier this summer. Also was having Cheyne-Stokes respiration problem. My Oximeter reading taken was 98% when a highly aclimatized guide could only register 93% on the same device. Would Diamox help the next time? Confused about the high blood oxygen level also?
At higher altitudes o2 sats drop by 4% on an average in healthy people. However people who are acclimatized have higher hemoglobin so low o2 saturation does not affect them.
