On June 11, 2007, after a long history of chest pain, I had CABG X 3, 90%,90%, and 70% blockages. Undiagnosed sleep apnea may have contributed. After the surgery I was beset by chronic chest pain, diagnosed as costochronditis. I had the sternal wiring removed in attempt to ease the pain. I also had chronic cervical neck pain, with bulging discs at c5-6, c6-7. C6-7 herniated last year and was replaced with a Prestiege Artificial Disc. My cardiologist treats my chest pain with steroid injections every 3-6 weeks. I have a spine pain specialist that treats my cervical pain with nerve blocks that have lead to nerve ablations twice. After both ablations I have experienced relief from ALL pain, both chest and neck for 8-12 months. All other tests including my last cath (March of last year) have come back ok. My question is this: Is it possible that all of this pain is originating in my spine from discs that were displaced when I had bypass surgery? And where is the best hospital to go in order to find a group that can help me. I am sick of being shoved back and forth.........Thank you. John
