What Is The Treatment For Cough And Throat Problem In A Child?

Hi my son is 4year old and having cough and throat problem from last two month doctors has firstly given soventus jr and Montex 4 mg for kids but not not finding pure relief than started Alex junior along with Montex 4 mg,cured but not 100 per cured than he started ascoril ls+ please suggest

Thanks for your query.
noted the history related to your your 4 years old son suffering from sough and throat problem for the last 2 months, by far a long time to suffer.
He has already been tried with Soventus Jr, Motex 4, Alex Jr and now Ascoril LS.
Since the child is suffering for 2 months it is imperative to have proper investigations and Specialist's opinion.
I would advise him the following:
First of all to take a consultation of a Pediatrician and an ENT Surgeon.
Tests of blood, urine, stool
Mantoux test
X-ray chest for looking whether there is a problem in the lung.
Send the sputum or throat swab for gram staining, culture and sensitivity.
Pulmonary function tests as well as clinical evaluation before and after giving bronchodilator
Addition of antibiotic, bronchodilator or oral steroids as per the findings.
Regular follow up till the boy is cured.
