What Is The Treatment For Delayed Fine Motor Skills?
I am an educator who has a 3 year old student whose fine motor skills are delayed; he screams impulsively; is aggressive with other children. Academically he works better one on one; however, the conversation is one sided usually. He often fixates on one topic. What advice should I give to his concerned parents? They say he can read already; he shows no attempt with me.
Hi, Thanks for asking. I would like to congratulate you for showing such deep interest in the development of your student. You are doing a commendable job. I would like to know how are his speech and communication skills? You should ask his parents to get him assessed for autism and sensory processing disorder. You make make his do the pre writing skill activities like paper tearing, scissors activity, finger painting, play dough activities, clipping, tonging etc to develop his fine motor skills. I hope I have helped you.
