What Is The Treatment For Diarrhea,nausea And Cramps?

My wife has been sick for over 3 years with cronic bouts of Diarrhea, disabling Cramps and Nausea. She has been in the hospital many times for dehydration and nothing has been found wrong with her from stool and blood tests. Her menstration seems to have also increased to twice a month and the symptoms seem to be worse. She was told by the Emergency Room Doctor to go on the Celiac diet even though it was not found. She went into the hospital and given Zofran for the cramps as she was unable to eat for days because of the Nausea, Diarrhea and Cramps. After she came home the symptoms came back pretty bad after eating rice. She is scheduled to see her doc as well as OB GYN as all tests for GI/Blood/ and stool tests are negative. We are at wits end and she can barely function. Is there anything she should try to eat to keep up her strength as wel as any ideas that maybe causing or what other tests we should be looking into? sorry to be so wordy but we are at wits end?

Hi, it is very sad to hear about your suffering , i think you should go for some test like colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy for the diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease, you should also go for complete panel allergy test for allergant, blood serotonin level should be measured, go for pacreatic assessment both radiologically and serologically.you can go for 24 hour urine 5 HIAA estimation with Octreoscan for rulling out carcinoid syndrome, dont mind but you should go for HIV ,HBsAg test also just for rulling it out.go to a higher centre with these report for further management.
