What Is The Treatment For Ear Infection?

My ear has been hurting since I went hiking on Saturday afternoon. It s been very mild since we left the mountain, but then yesterday (Tuesday), I was cleaning my ears with a q tip and it came out with some blood. Today my ear feels a bit clogged and achy. Is this likely an ear infection or something to do with the pressure during hiking? Or is it likely something else? I haven t had a cold or any infections lately that I m aware of.

Hi ,
Thank for asking to HCM.
As per your clinical history it appears that you are having some trauma to your ear canal .
Trauma to ear canal cause to ear inflammation leading to clogg and achy ear .

If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you Keep ear dry , don’t allow water go inside while bath & use antibiotic + Steroid ear drop.

Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
