What Is The Treatment For Enlarged Tonsils And Ear Infection?
My 4 yr. old s tonsils are extremely enlarged (they are touching) with bright red massive over-sized blood vessels running over them. He has been complaining his throat hurting for months but since they are not infected, his Dr. says there is not much we can do about them. Now, he has an ear infection - his 1st ever. The is the 1st time he has ever been on antibiotics. His nasal passages are also swollen and he has been using Nasonex with little relief....and has been diagnosed with speech delay and has begun speech therapy. I have been told these symptoms are all unrelated. My instincts tell me otherwise.
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
The symptoms of your son seem to be related to a viral infection which has caused enlarged tonsils and ear infection. I suggest using an anti inflammatory medications such as Tylenol to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest using an eardrop for local application. I recommend to give him liquids and rest.
Hope my answer was helpful.
