My hypertension is fairly well control except for a period of 6 months last year when due to some family loss it was high , ranging 138-145 mm systolic and 90-95 mm Hg diastolic. My chest x-ray shows prominent aortic knucle and signs of hyperdynamic circulation.I am fairly activenad my MBI is 27.2. Please advise. Thank you.
Hi welcome to HCM. The essential hypertension in your case need to be revised in treatment aspects due to fluctuations being imposed due your intrinsic metabolic activity.Prominent aortic knuckle can be due to chronic elevations of blood pressure.I advice you keep your blood pressure under 130/80 mm of hg.Maintain your BMI to less than 22.Use antihypertensives in optimum doses.Regular physical activity can help to lower the blood pressure.Consult your cardiologist for further queries. Thank you
