What Is The Treatment For Heat Boils Inside Eye Lid?
Hello Doctor
My wife got Heat Boil one on top of Eye lid and one inside eye lid.
We went to a primary care physician and they prescribed Erithromycin.
She is using it for last 3 days. No change observed.
What causes this? And how to take care of this?
Should I consult and Ophthalmologist?

Hello
It seems from the history that your wife is having boil inside the eyelid. This is called as stye and it is caused by infection of the glands of zeiss.
The treatment is by use of antibiotic eye ointment and oral anti-inflammatory drugs. She can continue using erythromycin eye ointment and she needs to use oral anti-inflammaotry drugs.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly.
