Hello,
I suspect it to be due to Meralgia Parasthetica.
Meralgia paresthetica (MP) is a problem with the lateral femoral cutaneous
nerve (LFCN) and caused by compression of a nerve called the lateral cutaneous nerve of the thigh.
Because you typically have the pain and tenderness in outer thigh as well as in the lower back.
There are many causes for this condition.
some common causes are
1. Wearing tight clothing, including belts or tight-fitting leg braces
2. Obesity and Overweight
3.
Diabetes, drinking too much alcohol
There is no investigation is needed to diagnose this condition. but Investigations (such as blood tests, X-rays and scans) are usually needed to rule out other diseases.
We can manage the Meralgia Parasthetica conservatively
1. Avoid tight clothing that presses on the upper thigh/hip area - such as belts or corsets.
2. Rest.Reduction in physical activity, and sometimes even bed rest
3. Pain killers like
Aceclofenac, ibuoprofen will be helpful in relaiving pain.
4. A Corticosteroid injection and, usually some
local anaesthetic, can be injected around the lateral cutaneous nerve to numb it and reduce inflammation.
Hope this helps.
