What Is The Treatment For Idiopathic Lung Fibrosis?

My mom is a known case of idipathic lung fibrosis on 5l of o2 through the day and bipap in night now finding it very difficult to even take few steps also if there is no o2 she has hypoxic gidiness and falls. Please let me know if there is anything new

Oxygen therapy is the mainstay of treatment in IPF. Other that that there are some new medications like pirfenidone which may help in ipf. Other associated conditions like pulmonary hypertension also need to be treated. Inhalers, physiotherapy, vaccinations etc. help in supportive management. You may consult a Pulmonologist regarding the feasibility of above options in your Mom's case.
