What Is The Treatment For Infected And Swollen Ears?

hi doctor, I got my rook on my ear pierced last november. I it still feels like it is infected and swollen because it is sore, red and pussing. Lately i have notice that my rook is getting firm and alittle harder and this makes me think that i may be getting cauliflower ear.. Do you think so?

Hi,

How many piercings in ear do you have? If not many and if you are not professional wrestler, you need not worry about cauliflower ear. Since the ear is swollen, red and discharging pus, it seems like it is infected. Please take some medications like Amoxicillin 3 times per day. Also, take Paracetamol 4 times a day.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
