Hi, I have itching in my pubic area...it is like pins and needles. A bit white white at areas. I was given meds for thrush but it just made the situation worse. Showed it to another lady doctor but the treatment just made it go away temporarily. No matter what cream I use there it seems to work for a while and then just backfires and I get rashes especially in the fold of my legs. Even my thighs are itching now. Situations sometimes becomes worse when I shave but at times becomes better. It is quite random. I used dandruff shampoo in frustration yesterday and it felt a whole lot better...relief in days. But it is getting worse again - not sure if it is ok to use medicated dandruff shampoo in this area,
Itching can be due to fungal infection for which anti-fungal ointment is required like kz cream. Also, start anti-fungal tablets like itraconazole 200mg weekly, for 8 weeks. Take tablet levocetizine 10mg at bedtime for 20 days.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
