HI MY DAUGHTER (15 YRS) HAS ITCHY SCALP WITH FLAKES FROM PAST ONE YEAR . SHE HAS UPPER RESPIRATERY INFECTION FREQUENTLY. ONE OF SKIN SPECIALIST TOLD IT IS PSORIOSIS. AND GAVE TREATMENT FOR IT ,HE AS PRESCRIBED HALOX-S SHALL I FOLLOW THE TREATMENT OR SHALL I HAVE TO TAKE SECOND OPINION
It could be either psoriasis or sebopsoriasis. Either of them present with itching, flaking and redness of skin. I would suggest her to use a coal tar and salicylic acid based shampoo. In addition to that, she may use a clobetasol propionate and salicylic acid based lotion at night.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
