What Is The Treatment For Kidney And Chest Infection During Pregnancy?

i am 27 weeks pregnant and have a kidney infection and a chest infection. i have been prescribed 2 different types of antibiotics from different doctors and was not sure if other doctor was aware i was already on antibiotics so didnt know if i can take them both at the same time?

Your consulting obstetrician is the right person to decide which medication is to be taken during pregnancy. If you can mention the name of the antibiotics prescribed, I will be able to say if they can be combined and if they can be taken during pregnancy. If absolutely needed as your clinical condition warrants, you may need to take both the antibiotic courses. Please remember, every doctor attending on you needs to be informed of all your medications to avoid confusion. Hope this helps.
