Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
persistent low body temp (95.6 to 96.7), rarely in normal range accompanied by fatigue and profuse sweating; sweating while others are wearing sweaters and profuse when engaged in ANY physical activity. I am a 62 year-old woman. Otherwise in good health. I am currently taking 50mcg Levothyroxine and 25mg Atenolol daily. I have mentioned this to my MD and several nurse practitioners and they laugh it off. My tests blood tests for thyroid are all in normal range. My husband complains that I keep house like a refrigerator and the sweating affects my life, along with the fatigue. HELP!
hi there the persistent low body temperature is one of the sign and symptom of Hypothyroidism. i think you need to increase the dose of Levothyroxine and this should be done on the basis of T3, T4 (both low) & TSH level (higher side). small increase in dose can be done according to these levels and then can be maintained as per report Take Care
