What Is The Treatment For Lower Back Pain And Light Bleeding After Hysterectomy?
Yesterday morning 6 am start of slight headache took my script of imitrex, no relief and now have nauseous stomach, took another imitrex. , vomited twice throughout day along with headache. Some relief around 7:30 pm. Today i woke with pain in my lower back and light bleeding, had hysterectomy in June 2003.
Bleeding after hysterectomy needs to be evaluated. It would have helped to know the reason for hysterectomy as well as if the ovaries were preserved or not. In any case, the causes for such bleeding are commonly senile endometritis and senile vaginitis that occur due to low hormonal levels. However other less common but serious causes include carcinoma of vagina or vault carcinoma.
Also analgesics can cause a gastrointestinal bleed that is sometimes confused with vaginal bleeding. So please check to see the source of blood.
My advise to you is to consult your gynecologist and get an examination done to check for the source of bleeding. Further investigations and treatment will be based upon examination findings.
