What Is The Treatment For Mild Scoliosis And Kyphosis?
Hi,
I have mild scoliosis and moderate kyphosis. I'm 33 and have had this since I was 16. Around 10 years ago I asked for corrective surgery on the NHS and was refused. They said the operation was risky. I know surgery has advanced a lot in 10 years and nerve monitors are available and that the risk of paralysis is something like 1 in 100,000. I still really want the operation. I have watched the whole thing on youtube. I get a lot of pain and am really affected by the way it looks. I never even bend down normally in front of anyone cos that's when it looks worse and have never worn a bikini. I am very uspet about it. I am willing to pay to go privately, but I'm scared that they will say no. Do you think it's possible to find anyone to do it? I will travel to a different country if need be.
Thanks
Mel
