Hi! Currently I am currently at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level. This place has rarified air and some lack of oxygen. It has been just 2 days I got here from sea level. I got acute nasal congestion that hurts and has led to some bleeding and heavy breathing. I do have some history of sinus problems for the last year. What do you suggest the medication should be for this problem? Thanks, NS
Hello NS, at such an altitude these problems may occur....i suggest you use some nasal decongestant drops...also you can use some almond / olive oil in the nose to keep it moist and lubricated as the nose tends to become dry in such conditions....in case you bleed profusely then try pinching the soft part of nose tightly for 3-5 mins.....in 80 percent of the cases the bleeding stops and that can help you to minimise blood loss till you reach medical help....i hope this answer will help you...
