Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Is The Treatment For Numbness On The Forehead After Injury?
I just hit my head very hard on the centre near my forehead on a metal shelf. I m feeling tired and I know just in case I shouldn t go to sleep. It instantly hurt but it went away, now it feels numb and I just feel very tired. Should I go to the emergency or get an ice pack?
As due to direct impact there will be mild cerebral edema and due to which you will feel tired and numbness. Wait and watch for any symptoms of brain injury like redness of eye, clot formation at the forehead, etc.
If the symptoms of brain Injury are negative then with rest and good fluid consumption you should be fine. I don't think about the history you need to visit the ER.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
