I have an allergic on small part of my upper lip. Kind of feeling different sensation from other areas on lip. I thought of allergic and applied dip salic F ointment. it has reduced a bit but still i have that less sensitiveness. can you please suggest?
It seems you have developed herpes labialis. It presents with multiple fluid filled lesion over your lips. Alongwith it, there is also a feeling of burning sensation, tingling, numbness over the affected area.
This feeling of numbness will stay for a few days. If the lesion on your lips are less than three days, then you can start on acyclovir therapy for a week time. If not, you can just apply an antibiotic cream like mupirocin for healing of your lesion.
In case, you are developing it again and again, then meet a dermatologist who will advice regarding a long term antiviral therapy for recurrent herpes
